What are GMOS?

A GMO is a genetically modified organism. Although it is primarily been used for food production, but I have heard rumors of experiments in the lab that are nothing less then successful Frankenstein experiments.  The modification is completed in the DNA through genetic engineering.  Many successful alterations are actually patented.  Many countries have banned the product others require GMO’s to be labeled.  Neither is true in the US because the government is afraid of being sued by the largest manufacturers of the GMO seed.  Worse still, when people report or whistle blow about the subject, the media makes fun and discounts the claims.

Motivating others is it possible?

Let’s face it; it’s just not reasonable to force others to do stuff for you.  And at the end of the day, it’s actually impossible to make anyone do anything.. Short of hypnosis of course and many don’t believe in it. Furthermore, it’s a pain in the ass to try to convince others to do something they don’t want to do. It will be a big investment of time and effort to get them to move toward a goal they don’t have a vested interest in.

The dictionary refers to focus as “the center of interest or activity.” But, what if you don’t center on the correct things?  It’s obvious that undivided attention on the items that will bring about success, because you bring about what you think about, but why don’t people do it?

MLM: Scams? Schemes? Business as usual…

I am so tired of hearing this about MLM’s.   There are over 2,000 active MLM’s and many over 20 years old. Techniques to Review your life

I know this is hard for some of you, but please just follow me here.

Am I a human or a number?

Has anyone ever sent you an E-mail that seemed like they forgot you were a living person? Have you ever gone to a store and felt like you weren’t a person? Just a number like at the deli, or the automobile tag office? It seems like we have been completely tokenized, even in social interactions we are now a screen name. At the root of customer service, people who are interacting with people must treat those people like they would wish to be treated. However, in our “Race to the Bottom,” as Seth Godin so cleverly calls it, we have dehumanized interactions with other people in favor of a better price, and a lack of reliability from the product.

Where’s my darn oxygen mask?

I know this topic is over mentioned in the personal development world, but I have no apology for the fact that I know I can put a new spin on it, so if you are in feel free to read on… If you have ever been on an airplane you probably remember the rather amusing show given before each flight.  The flight attendant stands at the front of the air craft, with a forced smile, not much different than the clowns at a circus. At some level, I’m sure many of them enjoy their job, and they have some amazing smiles, but you can tell by the rest of their body language that it’s merely forced like changing diapers on a child.
